The artist takes the traditional meaning of beauty from his native Japan to create his works, where subtraction, sobriety and minimalism have always been key in his sense of aesthetics. Kawanabe brings us a simplistic painting of scenes that, although particular, are familiar to everyone, a reflection on globalization and the transmission of values in the age of hyperconnectivity.
