The Roamer Project is an independent initiative founded by curators and collectors Ignacio Ortiz and Victorino Rosón, born from the ambition to connect international artistic talent with the Spanish collecting scene through unique, meaningful, and socially engaged exhibitions.

Breaking away from the traditional gallery model, The Roamer Project operates as a nomadic exhibition platform, placing contemporary art in dialogue with historically, architecturally, or symbolically significant spaces. Each edition takes place in a carefully selected location, where invited artists are assigned specific areas within the venue to create or adapt their work. The result is a site-specific exhibition experience in which space and artwork merge in a powerful and poetic exchange.

A key pillar of the project is its mission to introduce international artists with little or no prior exposure in Spain, helping to amplify their visibility and support the expansion of their careers. In an increasingly connected world, The Roamer Project embraces the potential of social media to discover emerging talents across all five continents. Each edition gathers thirteen artists, often young but already established within the global contemporary art scene, many of whom come from some of the world’s most prestigious art academies.

Beyond its curatorial scope, The Roamer Project also integrates a strong social dimension: each exhibition is linked to a collaboration with a humanitarian initiative or non-profit organization, reinforcing the project’s belief in art’s ability to engage with broader cultural and societal contexts.
